Optoma Technology BG-3DRFGLASSES 3D RF Rechargeable Glasses Reviews
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Great image quality, but few small complaints, October 27, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Optoma Technology BG-3DRFGLASSES 3D RF Rechargeable Glasses (Electronics) Overall these glasses are great. The picture quality through them is beautiful. They are large enough for most people who need to use prescription glasses underneath. They charge easily with a USB cable. They turn off automatically after around 5 minutes on not being used. You can even tune these to get most of the ghosting or crosstalk out, if you have any at all. (My Optoma HD3300 came with the emitter needed to work with these glasses, and this enables you to tune them, also comes with the Optoma HD33 I thought I would try some DLP-Link glasses, but I'm so happy with the image quality with these, I'm not even going to try it. They leave no funny tints of green or anything like that to the image projected (I read someone complain about this with other glasses). I only paid $79 for these on Amazon, so I would wait for the price to come back down from $99 (I believe $99 is over priced!)
My only complaints are: The button to turn them on is VERY hard to press down... Read more
10 of 12 people found the following review helpful Very fragile, November 2, 2011 By This review is from: Optoma Technology BG-3DRFGLASSES 3D RF Rechargeable Glasses (Electronics) Last year I bought an Optoma HD20 projector, and I was very impressed with it. A few months later, one of my friends was interested on buying a mini projector, so I recommended him to buy an Optoma Pico Projector, so my friend bought it and he loved it.
Because I've had a great experience with Optoma's products, when HD33 came out, I immediately ordered one, and a long with it I ordered 5 pairs of Optoma 3d RF glasses. The projector itself is very good in both 2D and 3D contents, the problem is in the glasses.
Th glasses are very very very fragile, 3 of the 5 glasses got broken in the first week. and the 4th one got broken yesterday.
It seems that when folding/unfolding the arms of the glasses, the arms pressured on the lens and cracked it.
This is a really bad product, and I recommend those who already has it to be very carful when they handle them, even more they can keep the arms always unfolded to avoid cracking the lenses.
And for those who are... Read more
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Lightweight and works with eyeglasses well, November 9, 2011 This review is from: Optoma Technology BG-3DRFGLASSES 3D RF Rechargeable Glasses (Electronics) One star less than perfect because of the "on" button is difficult to push and seems flimsy. That said, RF is the way to go for 3D glasses. No lost connections... no fear of moving your head (like with many IR DLP glasses) and disconnecting. Fits VERY comfortably over my regular prescription glasses. Holds a battery charge well. They do NOT come with any kind of manual or real instructions on how to adjust them. They are almost identical to the Monster RFs, and the adjustments are similar. Optoma needs to include the manual and/or at least post it on their webpage! Remember you can't mix and match types of 3D glasses with your Optoma HD33/HD3300... you need to choose DLP or these RF... to me it is a no brainer get the RF....
