Rugged Otterbox Case, June 26, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: OtterBox Defender Series Hybrid Case for Motorola Xoom (MOT2-XOOM1-20-E4OTR) (Personal Computers) Otterbox has made several products that have protected various devices that I own and have done so very well. Their latest addition for the Motorola Xoom is no exception to their continued efforts to provide great all-around protection, with the silicone / polycarbonate shell for the body and a hard polycarbonate shield for the screen. The screen-protecting shield can act as a 2-position stand. One angle convenient for typing and the other perfect for watching movies or set up for bluetooth keyboards. All the necessary port cutouts, including the charging port. There is a larger flap than the one immediately around the charging/USB/HDMI ports, providing enough room for a dock.
Some might not like the thickness of the case, but if you carry this in a bag like I do, it protects your device from other items in the bag and has the built in 2-position stand. It OtterBox Defender Series Hybrid Case for Motorola Xoom (MOT2-XOOM1-20-E4OTR) is solid, the rubber is resilient and robust and the design is well thought out.
PROS: easy to hold with case on, even easier with removable lid/base snapped to back, fits in Moto charging dock with creative use of snapping 'flap', volume buttons and Power button are EASIER to find/use when Otterbox is on v. without.
CONS: camera does not work with lid snapped to back, removable lid/base is separate (and easy to misplace) if it is in dock, a bit pricey

This is not my first Otterbox product nor is it the first defender series-and each time I am always impressed.
Now all of this impressive protection comes at a small cost, and I do not mean the price but in weight: with the Xoom and the case attached it weighs in at 41.5oz (2.59lbs) that's a little brick you're carrying around.
I am not going to go into the details of the features of this case because you probably already know if not, you can visit Otterbox.com for more information, but I like this case, It makes the Xoom easier to hold and for me: more comfortable to use because I am not worried about dropping it.
If you're looking for some serious protection, get this Otterbox, but just keep in mind that it is going to add some 'heft' to your Xoom and its noticeable.
